In the Hebrew Scriptures there is no word for "Spiritual" and Jesus never used the phrase "Spiritual Life". This is because, for Jesus and his tradition all of Life is Spiritual.
In July of 2006, Rob Bell visited nightclubs and bars on a 25-city bus tour and sold out venues across the country. Now the experience is available on DVD. It includes the entire 105-minute presentation, a photo of the 24-foot whiteboard and the resource list Rob used in creating his presentation.

What? No reviews of this amazing teaching? On a Christian site?... I'm gobsmacked. Rob Bell is at his inspiring best in this amazing, entertaining, thought-provoking piece of non-preaching, It's been out for some time now, yet nobody's reviewed it on this site. What's going on?
Well, for anyone who isn't familiar with Rob's 'Nooma' series of DVDs (phonetic 'Pneuma' = 'Spirit') - or indeed anyone who is, he has a wonderful ability to get to the heart of an issue in a way that's as totally Biblical and God-centred as it's non-religious.
In 'Everything is Spiritual', Rob Bell brings together a wide range of science-based understanding on the one hand and spiritual understanding on the other, and makes the case for seeing everything as part of a larger whole. I've heard one or two comments that the science part is a bit shallow... but so it is in shampoo ads, and they don't get criticised for it. Moreover this is not intended as a learned treatise, rather a stimulant to thinking and imagining which can set individuals off on their own path of enquiry.
If you like all your teaching straight out of the Authorised Version, with plenty of thees and thous and vouchsafing and maybe a bit of binding and loosing, well... this might not be your thing. However if you're still excited about your Christian faith (or are yearning to reignite that excitement), and want to see it through the lens of the world God created as it looks in the 21st century, then stop messing about and get this DVD. At this price, it could be the best tenner you've ever spent.
