Beautiful lyrics and music I was fortunate to buy a copy of this CD and was absolutely swept away by the beautiful lyrics, harmony and music. I am sure this debut CD will be a success for Portland and wish them every success in their promising future. I look forward to many hours of listening to their wonderful music.
Debut of exceptional quality This is a remarkably self-assured debut and I hope it will be a huge success. The lyrics are poetic and the songs are brilliantly crafted. The whole album is a wonderful musical journey. If you like this I would also highly recommend a band called the Harbour Lights. I am sure Portland will be around for many years to come.
Something to sing about It's not very often that I've felt able to give an album a 5 star review but These Broken Hands is an exception, it practically yelled out for one.
These talented musicians have written music that I find myself dying to listen to and the more I listen the more the lyrics challenge me in my walk with God. I've given copies of this to so many people, it has to be my top choice from 2009.
